The Oxford Bee Company ceased trading in 2006, although its products are still available through its distributor.
The Oxford Bee Company developed bee nests and managed pollination systems beneficial to everyone from domestic gardeners through to professional fruit growers.
The initial products, based on designs optimal for the Red Mason Bee (Osmia rufa), a species native to the UK and large areas of Europe, are available through CJ Wildbird Foods (www.birdfood.co.uk).
The Red Mason Bee is a superb pollinator, far more efficient than the honeybee, and wherever it becomes established the result will be improved yield and quality of fruit and flowers.
